The U.S. Department of Energy is proposing to provide funding to the Wisconsin Office of Energy to design, engineer, and install a waste heat to power system to extract heat energy from exhaust at the Charter Steel facility in Saukville, WI. The proposed system would run an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) turbine to generate clean electricity for on-site consumption.
