Funding will support the project team's small-scale research and development of a Hydrogen Steam Injected Intercooled Turbine Engine (HySIITE) concept to eliminate carbon emissions and significantly reduce Nitrous Oxide (NOx) from in-flight emissions for commercial singleaisle-size aircraft and to integrate HySIITE with other emerging technologies, such as auxiliary fuel cells and superconducting hybrid electric technologies.
