The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Florida Atlantic University (FAU) to design, develop, and test a prototype low-flow marine hydrokinetic (MHK) turbine, which would provide partial power to recharge battery banks onboard a mobile unmanned autonomous floating recharge station for a 0.5 kg to 2.5 kg unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
