As part of these global efforts to develop proliferation resistant nuclear fuels, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) and INL propose to perform Post Irradiation Examination (PIE) on high burnup U-Mo/Mg fuel samples to assess fuel performance. The proposed action evaluates the effect of changes in microstructure with burnup on fuel performance.
