Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Rocky Mountain Region (RMR), is proposing to rebuild and upgrade the existing single-circuit Miracle Mile Snowy Range No. 1 (MM-SNG 1) 115-kV Transmission Line between the Laramie (LAM)
Substation and Snowy Range (SNG) Substation as a double circuit. The project would include constructing a 115-kV double circuit transmission line using single-column steel poles between the LAM and SNG Substations, a length of approximately 1.5 miles. The existing H-frame wood poles and steel structure transmission line would be removed. One circuit of the new double circuit transmission line structures would be the existing MM-SNG 1 115-kV Transmission Line
with fiber optic ground wire (OPGW) and the other circuit would be the new Laramie-Snowy Range 115-kV Transmission Line.
