Soil borings will be advanced along the MIPSL, adjacent to sampling locations from the 2005 characterization program. The purpose of this program is to ascertain current concentrations of trichloroethylene (TCE) and tetrachloroethylene (PCE) in the vadose zone and compare them to those encountered in the original characterization effort. Soil vapor extraction (SVE) is the remediation technology that was deployed to address TCE and PCE contamination.
