The Advanced Modeling and Simulation organization needs to procure a new supercomputer to support advanced modeling and simulation (M&S). The new Collaborative Computing Center (C3) will house the computer. The C3 facility will supply cooling to support current and future modeling and simulation efforts. Once power and cooling requirements are determined for the new supercomputer, power and water connections will be made to each computer rack (analogous to plugging in an extension cord to a receptacle on one wall of a room and stringing it to a computer located on a desk at the other side of the room.)
