The U.S. Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration Office of Material Management and Minimization, proposes to provide financial assistance to the State of South Carolina Law Enforcement Division to perform armed escort and provide emergency coordination in support of the Department of Energy's shipment of Foreign Research Reactor Spent Nuclear Fuel to the Savannah River Site. South Carolina Law Enforcement Division would coordinate directly with other essential state law enforcement agencies regarding training for local first responders and monitoring of shipments into and through the state.
