CX-019316: Generic Categorical Exclusion for Use of Unmanned Aerial Systems Small, Unmanned Aerial Systems, and Tethered Balloon Systems for Research Campaigns at the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement Southern Great Plains Site in Oklahoma and Kansas.

The Department of Energy Atmospheric Radiation Measurement Southern Great Plains user facility is seeking approval through the National Environmental Policy Act to allow the use of the following unmanned aircraft: - UASs-Unmanned Aerial System small (under 55lbs) to collect atmospheric data and imagery; - UAS-Unmanned Aerial System (>55lbs) to collect atmospheric data and imagery; and - TBS-Tethered Balloon System to collect atmospheric data and imagery.
