CX-018515: Resource: Utilizing Carbon Dioxide for Commodity Polymer Synthesis

Funding will support the project team's small-scale research and development activities to develop bio-based polyester plastics that have superior properties to conventional petroleum-derived polyesters. Specifically, the project team will (1) prepare and analyze reagent/catalyst particles; (2) assemble a fluid bed reactor and optimize reactions; and (3) revise the economics of production with input from experimental results.
