Soil samples through the vadose zone (none below the groundwater) are to be taken throughout the former D-Area Coal Yard (484-17D) to assist with development of an Engineering Evaluation / Cost Analysis on neutralization of soil. The Engineering Evaluation / Cost Analysis to be submitted in September 2018. This effort will be performed at risk since there are no regulatory approvals needed to perform the sampling.
