Southern Liquified Natural Gas Company, LLC, filed an application with the Office of Fossil Energy on February 1, 2018, seeking a short-term blanket authorization to engage in exports of domestically produced LNG in a volume up to the equivalent of 255 billion cubic feet of natural gas for a term of two years. Southern Liquified Natural Gas Company, LLC seeks to export the liquified natural gas from the Elba Liquefaction Project, which is currently under construction at the Elba Island Terminal on Elba Island in Chatham County, Georgia. Southern Liquified Natural Gas Company, LLC requests authority to export this liquified natural gas to any non-free trade agreement country with which trade is not prohibited by United States law or policy.
