The H-Modified process requires periodic samples of vessels to be taken and sent to F&H Labs for analysis prior to moving solution forward in the process at certain points. This process of sampling and sending the samples for analysis takes a fair amount of time for the results to be calculated and sent back so the processing can continue. In order to increase H-Canyon throughput and reduce the sampling time the existing spectrophotometer equipment behind the control room panel will be replaced with a new spectrophotometer cabinet and spectrophotometer equipment provided by Savannah River National Laboratory.
