Weldon Spring Site Interpretive Center’s Science and Nature Adventure, 2016
Earth Day, celebrated on April 22, raises awareness about environmental issues. For LM, it’s an opportunity to connect with communities near our three interceptive centers, share educational resources, and inspire the next generation of scientists.
Staff-led, engaging tours tell the story of each site’s past, present, and future. Our educational programs are thought-provoking and fun! Interact with exhibits, study historical objects, and ponder timeless photographs. You’ll experience U.S. history through the eyes of the people who lived and worked at each site, preserving their place in our nation’s story. You’ll also learn about the environmental remediation and beneficial reuse of the sites.
