Teri Ehresman assumed the role of ICP CAB Chair in late August after a one-year term as Vice-Chair.

The Idaho Cleanup Project Citizen’s Advisory Board has elected new leadership and added two new members to the board.

Teri Ehresman, Island Park, has been elected as Chair of the ICP CAB for the next year. She served the past year as Vice-Chair of the organization. Teri retired from a career in communications and public affairs in 2015. Prior to working for the Idaho National Laboratory for 25 years, she worked for 14 years as a reporter and editor at the Idaho Falls Post Register. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Journalism. She has volunteered for the National Federation of Press Women where she served as national president for two years. She currently is the national contest director for both the professional and high school communications contest. She is active in the Island Park community and serves as a leader of the Involved Property Owners of Island Park group.

Josh Bartlome of Twin Falls is the new Vice-Chair of the board. He will become Chair in August 2022. He has been the Executive Director and CEO of the Southern Idaho Regional Solid Waste District since 2006. He was elected to the Idaho Solid Waste Association Board of Directors in 2010 and has since served as Treasurer and Vice President. He is also a member of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) and has been SWANA certified as a Landfill Technical Associate since 2008.  Josh has an advanced course certificate from the Public Risk Management Association of Idaho. He is a high school graduate who has taken college courses at Washington State University and the College of Southern Idaho. 

Debi Farber of Boise is a newly appointed member of the board. Debi is a principal geologist with Arcadis U.S. Inc., a large engineering consulting firm. She is a native Idahoan and natural scientist with 18 years of experience as a geologist. She received her Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Idaho and her Master of Science in Geoscience from Texas Tech University. With a solid understanding of geological/hydrogeological systems, Debi is interested in ensuring the environment is being protected and maintained. She is a member of the National Ground Water Association and the Idaho Association of Professional Geologists. 

John Sigler of Pocatello is rejoining the board after serving a two-year term from 2018-2020. John retired in 2012 as senior environmental coordinator for the City of Pocatello, Idaho.

Idaho Cleanup Project Citizens Advisory Board member, Josh Bartlome

Josh Bartlome will serve as Vice-Chair until next August and then become Chair. 

He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife/Fisheries Management and a Master of Science in Wildlife/Water Quality from Utah State University, and a Ph.D. in Fisheries Management/Biology from the University of Idaho. He has co-authored various books, reports, and papers, including the 815-page illustrated book, The Fishes of Idaho: A Natural History Survey, which was ranked as one of the three best Idaho books of 2018 by the Idaho Association of Libraries. He is interested in management of natural resources in the western United States in an environmentally sensitive manner.  He is a board member of the Sagebrush Steppe Land Trust and a member of the Idaho Conservation League, Henry’s Fork Foundation, Idaho Chapter Trout Unlimited, and Back Country Hunters Anglers.

Other CAB members include: Jackie Agenbroad, Boise; Monica Hampton, Moore; Roger Hernandez, Chubbuck; Brandon Leatham, Idaho Falls; Talia Martin, Blackfoot; Dick Meservey, Idaho Falls; Mark Permann, Ammon; and Bob Skinner, Idaho Falls.

Liaisons to the board include Mark Clough, INL Settlement Agreement Coordinator; Lynne Hood, Environmental Protection Agency, Region 10; Fred Hughes, Flour Idaho; and Pete Johansen, Idaho Department of Environmental Quality.

The ICP CAB is a federally appointed citizens' panel that provides independent advice and recommendations to the Office of Assistant Secretary, and designees, for the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Environmental Management (EM) Program.

The ICP CAB was formed in 1994 and consists of 12 members chosen to reflect the diversity of perspectives in the affected community and region. Members are appointed by DOE and serve in an advisory capacity. CAB members receive no compensation. Expertise in cleanup, or Idaho Site cleanup specifically, is not required for membership. The ICP CAB seeks members with an interest in Idaho Site cleanup and a willingness to commit time to provide their perspective. Click here to learn more about applying for CAB membership.

Ms. Ehresman retired from a career in communications and public affairs in 2015. Prior to working for the Idaho National Laboratory for 25 years, she worked for 14 years as a reporter and editor at the Idaho Falls Post Register. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Journalism from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She has volunteered for the National Federation of Press Women and the Idaho National Laboratory Employees Association. Ms. Ehresman is interested in educational and environmental issues and resides in Island Park, Idaho.
