Katherine Harsanyi serves as a commercialization program manager in the Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). In her role, she works with industry and National Laboratories to develop and manage programs and activities focused on bringing new technologies to market. Katherine was previously a financial analyst in the DOE’s Office of Policy where she conducted policy, financial, and market analysis.

Prior to DOE, Katherine was an energy industry analyst at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) where she was an expert witness on financial issues including rate of return and capital structure for electric utility rate cases.

Katherine holds a Master of Business Administration from Central European University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland. She also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) credential.
