Jake Mees serves as an economist and business analyst for the Department of Energy’s Office of Technology Transitions (OTT). Jake leads budget formulation and performance reporting activities for OTT, as well as the budget and financial management of the Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF). He also supports the budget planning, execution, and reporting for OTT base activities. Jake has extensive experience in the development, implementation, and utilization of DOE project and financial information systems, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Previously as a DOE contractor, Jake provided a wide range of operations support across the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM), Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), and Office of Electricity Delivery (OE).
In his free time, Jake loves spending time with his family, and enjoys camping, hiking, snowboarding, golfing, playing ice hockey, and coaching youth sports.
