How to to Allow Article to link directly to a File

Steps

  1. Create an Article
  2. Set Article type: Document
  3. Check the  Allow Direct Download checkbox
  4. Add a singular file into a Listing Paragraph: File Listing
    1. Note: an upcoming release will allow you to used a singular Media block rather than a Listing paragraph block
    2. Note: attaching multiple files will disable the feature, and the article will link as normal.
  5. Save and Publish

Now all links to the article will go to the singular file instead of the article view

Note some devices and browsers may view the files directly in the browser, and some may download the file onto the device.  This is device/ browser specific, and we have no control over this behavior.
