Zak Lafontaine is a PMP Certified Project Manager and Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Kentucky with over 10 years of experience related to electrical design and systems engineering at the U.S. Department of Energy’s former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant site in Pike County, Ohio. He is currently the Program Manager for DOE’s Depleted Uranium Hexafluoride (DUF6) Conversion plants located at Paducah, KY and at the Portsmouth site (PORTS). He was formerly a Facility Representative with DOE overseeing electrical safety and engineering practices at the PORTS site. Mr. Lafontaine previously held the position of lead Electrical Systems Engineer at the DUF6 project and served as the interim Systems Engineering Manager. In addition, Mr. Lafontaine also has experience related to compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards and was formerly a NERC Certified Power System Operator.
