The most well established PFAS use resulting in environmental releases is the use of Class B firefighting foams, specifically Aqueous Film-Forming Foam, or AFFF. DOE prepared the following survey to help DOE sites identify past or present use of AFFF.  The survey pertains to site activities most associated with use of AFFF for operations, maintenance, and training, which may indicate potential release locations.
