A Massachusetts native and graduate of Boston College, Sarah Butler served the people of Massachusetts for nearly two decades. She started her career as a Congressional Aide from then-Congressman Markey and moved to DC in 2010 where she served as Chief Democratic Clerk for both the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming and the Committee on Natural Resources. She returned briefly to Massachusetts to help Markey bring home his special-election campaign for Senate in 2013. Sarah worked for Senator Markey in the Senate for the past decade, most recently serving as his Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations. Sarah has brought her dedication to building a better world and nation to work every day and she could not be more excited to put this passion to her role as Director of the Office of the Executive Secretariat.
