Former Special Advisor, Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs
Andrea Piccardo served as the Special Advisor to the White House Liaison Office at the U.S. Department of Energy. Prior to this, she detailed in the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs as well as the White House Liaison Office as a Special Assistant. Previously, Piccardo served as the Legislative Assistant to the Chief Operations Office in the Office of Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, where her portfolio included the Aviation Department, Seaport (Port Miami), Parks & Open Spaces, and Elections Department. Piccardo comes to DOE with seven years of experience in local government, policy and legislation, and community engagement.
Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Piccardo holds an M.A. in Global Affairs with a focus on cybersecurity and technology policy and a B.A. in International Relations and Asian Studies, both from Florida International University.
