Dan Duckwitz is the Senior Data Analyst at the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), bringing years of relevant experience from the government and small business sectors. Before this move, he was at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Headquarters, serving as Deputy Director of Small Business Programs. In that role, he was responsible for shaping acquisitions to maximize small business opportunities, analyzing data related to small businesses, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Before his time at NAVSEA, which began in 2019, Dan worked at the Defense Health Agency. He initially focused on financial management analysis and later shifted to small business analytics. Dan also has a background in military service, having served as a Financial Management Technician in the U.S. Army Reserve with deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Academically, Dan holds a M.S. in Business Analytics from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a Master of Public Administration from George Mason University.
