Caren most recently served as an HR Consultant with the Office of Recruitment and Advisory Services within the Office of Human Capital’s Shared Service Center at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). With more than twenty years of Federal service in Human Resources, Executive Assistance and Training, Caren brings a wealth of knowledge to the OSDBU’s Corporate Resource Management team.
Prior to joining DOE in 2015, Caren served as a Supervisory Mission Support Specialist with the United States Border Patrol Academy at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center’s in Glynco, GA and Artesia, NM. In this capacity she led a team of Mission Support Professionals having oversight of a variety of Human Resources functions to include Performance Management, Employee Relations and Mediation, Worker’s Compensation, Staffing and Classification coordination, and Succession Planning to include Executive Consulting. Caren’s dedication to the Border Patrol Academy Mission and extensive contributions to the consolidation of all Border Patrol training to Artesia, New Mexico, earned her the “Commissioner’s Excellence in Mission Support Award."
Caren has two adult children and lives in southeast New Mexico with her two dogs and two horses.
