PSH-18-0077 - In the Matter of Personnel Security Hearing

On January 17, 2019, an Administrative Judge issued a decision in which she determined that an Individual should not be granted access authorization. In a Notification Letter issued to the Individual, the DOE alleged the existence of derogatory information under Adjudicative Guideline F regarding multiple delinquent debts and failure to file taxes for several years. After conducting a hearing, the Administrative Judge determined, among other things, that the Individual had neither resolved all of his delinquencies nor filed taxes for all unfiled years. The Administrative Judge relied upon those findings to conclude that the Individual had not mitigated the concerns related to his finances. Accordingly, the Administrative Judge found that the Individual should not be granted access authorization. OHA Case No. PSH-18-0077 (Kimberly Jenkins-Chapman).
