May 30, 2019On May 30, 2019, the Office of Hearings and Appeals (OHA) denied a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Appeal filed by Tom Secker (Appellant) from a final determination issued by the Department of Energy's Office of Public Information (OPI). On Appeal, the Appellant alleged that OPI had not conducted an adequate search for responsive records. After review, OHA determined that OPI conducted a search reasonably calculated to uncover the records requested by the Appellant. Accordingly, OHA denied the Appeal. OHA Case No. FIA-19-0016.
