FOIA Appeal; denied; adequacy of search

January 23, 2018On January 23, 2018, the Office of Hearings and Appeals (OHA) denied a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Appeal filed by Ronald Walli (Appellant) from a final determination issued by the Department of Energy’s Office of Inspector General (OIG). On Appeal, the Appellant alleged that OIG had not conducted an adequate search for responsive records. After review, OHA determined that OIG conducted a search reasonably calculated to uncover the records requested by the Appellant. Accordingly, OHA denied the Appeal. OHA Case No. FIA-18-0005
