Nominations for this year’s U.S. Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) Awards, which recognize rising women working in a variety of fields to advance clean energy, are now being accepted.  The annual U.S. C3E Awards recognize rising leaders in Advocacy, Business, Education, Entrepreneurship, Government, International, Law and Finance, and Research.  Eligible nominees are mid-career women working in the clean energy sector who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.  Each winner receives $8,000 and national recognition.  The deadline for submitting nominations is April 10, 2019.  To learn more about the C3E initiative and to submit nominations, visit the C3E website.

Closing the gender gap and increasing the participation, leadership, and success of women in clean energy fields are the goals of the C3E Initiative.  The Department of Energy collaborates with the Texas A&M Energy Institute, MIT Energy Initiative, and Stanford Energy’s Precourt Institute for Energy to implement the C3E program.
