Energy Improvements in Rural or Remote Areas Grant Local Engagement Opportunities

On April 30, 2024, the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED)  announced  $78 million in grant funding for 19 community-driven clean energy projects selected for award negotiations across 12 states and 13 tribal nations. Local stakeholders will have substantive opportunities to engage with both DOE and the selected projects, starting during the negotiation process and extending throughout the full lifecycle of each project. 

National Briefing

As part of the Department’s commitment to transparency, OCED held a virtual national briefing on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. ET to provide information on the office, the projects selected for negotiation, and information on next steps.  Slides from the briefing are available here and the recording is available below.
