The U.S. Department of Energy is proposing to provide federal funding to the Municipality of Canovanas (Municipality), Puerto Rico under the DOE's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 Energy Efficiency and Conservatin Block Grant Program (EECBG). Under Activity #1 and #2, Lighting System Replacement at Public Facility, the Municipality proposes to replace two electric light poles with two solar light poles in the front of City Hall and replace electric light poles with eight solar light poles at the center of the Public Square.
