CX-031447: Design, Fabrication, and Repair of Multi-Material Gears for Improved Performance and Reliability of Wind Turbine Systems

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to GE Packaged Power LLC, d/b/a GE Vernova Advanced Research Center (GEVAR) for the development of improved designs and manufacturing processes of gears used in wind turbine systems. Project activities would consist of research and development, laboratory operations, and data analysis.
