June 18, 2024The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Princeton University to develop and test the viability of a low-cost alkali-activated cement and a calcined low-grade kaolin clay with existing technology. Material synthesis, testing, characterization, and analysis would occur at Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. Material integration, characterization, and data dissemination would occur at Cornell University in Ithica, New York.
