This Amended Determination follows the approval of additional funds to support the project team's small-scale, research and development activities and further market research and analysis to assess impact, value, and plans for further technological development of a thin film interfacial pulsed heating defrosting system combined with a controlled surface wettability coating that enables de-icing by melting of only an ultra-thin layer of ice/snow/frost (approx. 100 micrometers) with the aid of gravity or shear forces (e.g., wind).
