Training the Next Generation of Nuclear Data Evaluators

$5.25M for Four Awards

Nuclear Data Evaluators are subject matter experts that assess new and old experimental data, theory, and computational methods to determine the best accepted values for properties of nuclear structure and reactions. Due to retirements and increasing demand in nuclear data, there is a need to increase the evaluator workforce. Awards under this FOA will train four new evaluators to bolster the workforce and include a summer school for in-depth training in specialized topics among the cohort of trainees.
