The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to Tennessee Tech University (TTU) to develop and evaluate oxidation and erosion-resistant coatings for the protection of critical concentrating solar-thermal power (CSP) components. Proposed project activities would occur within existing laboratories at TTU (Cookeville, TN) and Tennessee State University (Nashville, TN).
