May 20, 2024The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to General Motors (GM) to design, build, and deploy a manufacturing system to produce 20,000 next generation high-speed fuel cell stacks per year. Award activities would be conducted at Romulus Propulsion in Romulus, MI and GM Global Propulsion Systems (GM) in Pontiac, MI. The proposal would be spread over two budget periods (BP).
