The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) administers the annually appropriated State Energy Program (SEP) as authorized by Title III, Energy Policy and Conservation Act, as amended. The goal of the SEP is to provide leadership to maximize the benefits of energy authorized by Title III, Energy Policy and to maximize the benefits of energy efficiency and renewable energy through communications and outreach activities, technology deployment, and new partnerships and resources.
