CX-029929: Novel Approach to Deploying Low Head Turbines at Drops and Diversions

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Drops for Watts for the conceptual and detailed design of infrastructure necessary for installing low head hydro turbines on existing irrigation control structures or diversions. Award activities would include formation of a working group, researching existing irrigation drop structures to design a standardized/modular-based approach, and developing a final detailed design for a future demonstration site.
