The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Captis Aire LLC (Captis Aire; Lenior City, TN) to operate a pre-pilot system capable of recovering terpenes feedstock from wood products via a fluidized bed concentrator (FBC) and reducing greenhouse emissions. Using the captured terpenes feedstock, the award aims to produce Terpenes sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
