The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Princeton NuEnergy Inc. (PNE) for the design and development of an advanced manufacturing process for producing low-cost battery cathode active materials (CAM). Cathode active materials are high purity chemicals that define the output and application of different types of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles and renewable energy storage.
