The U.S. Department of Energy is proposing to provide funding to the Wisconsin Office of Energy Innovation to install a 180-kW ground mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) system with a 100kW/400 kWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at the Madison Area Technical College (MATC). The project would require approximately 475 bifacial panels and six PV inverters.
