CX-027939: Prediction and Mitigation of Particle Attrition, Erosion, and Abrasive Wear in Gen3 Falling Particle CSP System Components

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) to develop wear-resistant coatings for use in concentrating solar thermal applications. Project activities would include the design, development, fabrication and testing of various coatings.
