The U.S. Department of Energy is proposing to provide funding to the Wisconsin Office of Energy Innovation to design and install a lithium battery storage system to store electricity from the solar-photovoltaic array at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College’s Great Lakes Energy Education Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The battery storage would allow the Education Center to retain energy from the existing 200kW photovoltaic solar system.
