Tribal Electricity Access and Reliability Congressional Report—Listening Session 2

The Office of Indian Energy hosted a second listening session to discuss the results of the questionnaire conducted during the first listening session, and to share findings from the report to date. Learn more about the listening session and the report.

DOE Consultation with Tribal Leaders on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

DOE hosted a virtual consultation session on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) for Tribal and Alaska Native Corporation leaders. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and DOE leaders gathered information to help guide the Energy Department in developing more than 60 new programs with $62.5 billion in funding. Tribal Electricity Access and Reliability Congressional Report—Listening Session

The Energy Act of 2020 included specific requirements for the U.S.  Department of Energy to conduct research and report back to Congress on energy access and reliability on tribal lands. Learn more about the listening session and the report.

Funding and Financing Roundtable Report

The joint Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs/Loan Programs Office Tribal Roundtable was held virtually to hear about challenges in developing tribal energy projects and how debt financing programs offered through the U.S.  Department of Energy can be structured to address them.
