Zero Energy Programs

These zero energy programs aim to design sustainable buildings that incorporate renewable energy sources for specific types of buildings, including schools, districts, and homes.

Zero Energy Schools Accelerator >>

The goal of this program is to provide achievable solutions to energy needs that reduce school operating costs and engage students in active learning.

Zero Energy Ready Home Program >>

The Zero Energy Ready Home program incorporates practical and well-tested designs that allow homes to consume less energy than a normal home while producing renewable energy. These homes are verified by a qualified third-party and are significantly more energy efficient than a typical new home, conserving at least 40%-50% more energy.

Zero Energy Districts Accelerator >>

There are certain hurdles that come with designing a built environment for a densely populated, multi-use, and geographically cohesive area. This program addresses challenges faced when designing buildings at a district scale.

U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon >>

The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon is a collegiate competition, comprising 10 contests, that challenges student teams to design and build highly efficient and innovative buildings powered by renewable energy.
