The Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management gives notice of receipt of an Application filed December 2, 2021, by Venture Global CP2 LNG, LLC (CP2 LNG), seeking long-term multi-contract authorization to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas (LNG) up to the equivalent of 1,446 billion cubic feet of natural gas per year to Free Trade Agreement (FTA) countries, and to Non-Free Trade Agreement (NFTA) countries.  CP2 LNG proposes to export LNG from its proposed LNG terminal site, and related facilities, to be located on the Calcasieu Ship Channel in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, to any country that has, or in the future will have, the capacity to import LNG via ocean-going carrier, with which the United States has, or in the future enters into, an FTA requiring national treatment for trade in natural gas, and/or NFTA countries, with which trade is not prohibited by U.S. law or policies.  Authorization is requested for a term extending through December 31, 2050.  CP2 LNG requests this authorization on its behalf and as agent for other parties who hold title to the LNG at the time of export.  A Federal Register Notice will be issued for the NFTA portion of this application.
