Hurricane Ida Situation Reports

Hurricane Ida made landfall as a category 4 hurricane near Port Fourchon, Louisiana, around 2PM ET on Sunday, August, 29, 2021.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Energy Response Organization was activated and Emergency Support Function #12 responders are deployed to the FEMA Region VI Regional Coordination Center in Denton, TX; FEMA’s Joint Field Office in Baton Rouge; the FEMA Region III Regional Coordination Center in Philadelphia, PA (virtually); and FEMA’s National Response Coordination Center in Washington, D.C.

DOE worked closely with industry, interagency, and state partners to support the response to Hurricane Ida.
