The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) to research residential and commercial customer drivers for co-adoption of distributed energy resources, looking specifically at solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, energy storage, and electric vehicles. Data would be collected through online surveys and provided by electric utility collaborators. It would then be used to develop econometric models to forecast co-adoption trends at regional and national levels.
