The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to 3M Company to develop novel manufacturing processes for the production of proton exchange membrane (PEM) components. 3M Company would produce and test catalysts and electrodes with the processes developed. 3M Company would then validate the components by integrating them into electrolyzer stacks.
