The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) to improve building efficiency in Alaska through cost-effective and scalable hands-on Building Monitoring (BMON) training. The project would create a training program for building owners, operators and contractors that would focus on building assessments, technology integration, as well as operations and maintenance. Project work would be completed over three Budget Periods (BPs) with Go/No-Go decision points between each BP.
